'A Letter From Daddy', found on a 1921 calendar. The desk and chair are Tonnesen props, as well as the photo of the WWI soldier in the art deco styled swing frame. The models are Virginia Waller (1913-2006) and a woman reported to have been named Jean Blackwell. A close look at Blackwell’s dress reveals it is the same dress worn by the flag-draped models shown elsewhere in this album. This dress, with the distinctive bead-type trim on the sleeves, must have been a favorite from the Tonnesen costume closet, because it appears often in Tonnesen’s work.
