This is a version of a print often found titled "Pals", probably by Hy Hintermeister. The illustration may well have come from a photo by Tonnesen. The hat looks like the hat worn by the boy in the Tonnesen photo "On the Way" from which RA Fox painted "The Barefoot Boy." Also, this may be the same child who was the subject of "The Barefoot Boy."
